Continuing Education Information & Requirements
Continuing Education Approval
Continuing education credit for Ohio social workers, counselors, prevention specialists, and chemical dependency professionals is being provided by The Ohio State University College of Social Work. This conference has been approved for a total of 12.25 continuing education clock hours.
Professionals practicing outside of Ohio are encouraged to consult with their respective state credentialing boards to determine eligibility for reciprocity of continuing education contact hours.
Ohio CSWMFT
The Ohio State University College of Social Work provides approvals for continuing education for counselors, social workers, and marriage and family therapists that are accepted by the state of Ohio Counselor, Social Work, and Marriage and Family Therapist (CSWMFT) Board.
Ohio CDP
The Ohio State University College of Social Work has been approved by the Ohio Chemical Dependency Professionals (CDP) Board as a provider of Continuing Education, approval number: 50-24068.
CHES/MCHES
Sponsored by the Ohio State University Higher Education Center for Alcohol & Drug Misuse Prevention and Recovery/OSU College of Social Work (MEP113333), a designated provider of continuing education contact hours (CECH) in health education by the National Commission for Health Education Credentialing, Inc., this program (PM113333_10212025) is designated for (CHES) and/or Master Certified Health Education Specialists (MCHES) to receive up to 16.5 total category I contact hours in health education. Maximum advance-level contact hours available are 12.
Continuing Education Requirements
To earn CE credit, attendees must fully attend each session chosen, complete a session evaluation for each session attended and complete an overall conference evaluation. In-person attendees must sign in and out each day at the registration desk and must sign in and out at each session attended. No partial credit will be awarded. Certificates of completion will be emailed within 7 business days to attendees who meet these requirements for ACE, Ohio CSWMFT & Ohio CDP and within 30 business days for attendees who meet the CHES/MCHES requirements.
