Budgets and timelines and SMART goals- Oh my! While budgets are shrinking, we may feel the pressure to explore opportunities for funding beyond what is provided by our campus to sustain and grow our AOD efforts. Grant writing can feel overwhelming and confusing, but it doesn’t have to be. This intensive session will provide a crash course in grant writing, tailored specifically for campus professionals. It will provide an overview of critical components of successful proposals and opportunities to practice these skills so that you can return to campus ready to write!

Learning Objectives:

  • Describe key components of a successful grant proposal, including a statement of need, project description, budget, timeline, and evaluation plan.
  • Develop clear and measurable goals and objectives for their grant proposals that align with their organization’s mission and funder’s priorities.
  • Create a logic model that can communicate project goals to funders.
  • Identify the key components of a grant budget and timeline.
