Welcome to the latest edition of the HECAOD podcast!

This episode is hosted by Connie Boehm, the associate director of the HECAOD. Connie’s guests are Janet Jansen and Joe Zichi of the University of Michigan, who presented at our 2016 National Meeting!

Janet and Joe’s presentation entitled, “A Comprehensive Approach to Alcohol Risk and Harm Reduction: Implementing a Parent-Family Communication Program,” is available for download here!

Janet Jansen on her approach to wellness: “The best part of my job is helping students explore all dimensions of wellness through the lens of life experiences and identity. It’s a non-judgment zone where one can learn more about who they are and who they want to be.  My role is to provide resources and support as students discover the many ways to thrive. I don’t think our mistakes define us.”

Joe is responsible for management of the Alcohol and Other Drugs resolution pathways and for providing oversight for conflicts and incidents outlined in the Statement of Student Rights and Responsibilities with OSCR program managers.

Please join Connie, Janet, and Joe as they discuss the work they are doing within the collegiate recovery community and their Parent-Family Communication Program.
