Kick-Off Session – HECAOD Through the Years: Leadership Reflections on Shaping Collegiate AOD Prevention Efforts

Learning Objectives:

  • Understand the pivotal role of federal agencies, particularly NIAAA, in advancing alcohol harm reduction and public health initiatives in higher education.
  • Analyze the historical context of alcohol harm reduction policies.
  • Identify how public health models were applied in early alcohol harm reduction efforts and discuss their evolution over time.

Afternoon Keynote – The Recovery Landscape: Milestones, Current Trends, and Future Directions
